Insulated glass unit is construction of two or more windows, between which there is an air gap that occurred with different size spacers and hermetically closed.
Good insulated glass unit must have two barriers. One barrier is butylene affixed on both sides of the spacer and the second is silicone, polysulfides or tiokol filling the space between the panes and the spacer. In operable windows can not penetrate water outside and inside the closed moisture with air in making it is absorbed by the absorbent, which is filled spacer. Thus, between the panes can be formed condensate.
Note that occupies almost the entire glass area of the window. A very small proportion of the total area falls on the frame. This in turn suggests that the saving of profile system is a better compromise than the economies of glass. Choose the best, which offers a contemporary production of glass in order to have your investment really expected effect.
